Shon’s Irish Heartland Retreat

We make our way to Fishguard for the crossing to Rosslare, before heading to our overnight hotel in Enniscorthy.

After breakfast, we begin our journey towards our hotel in Mullingar, with comfort stops on route.

Enjoy a day full of flavour and fun, starting with a guided tour and tasting at the award-winning Shed Distillery, home of Drumshanbo Gin. Discover the craft behind their unique spirits before heading off for a relaxing afternoon cruise. Sit back with tea, coffee, and a scone as you enjoy live music and on-board commentary, taking in the stunning scenery and stories along the way.

This morning, we head to Mullingar for a morning at leisure. Spend time exploring the majestic cathedral, stroll along the picturesque canal, or wander around the shops and cafes for a relaxing morning. This afternoon, we head back to the hotel for our light lunch, followed by an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities.

Enjoy a memorable day out at Strokestown Park with a guided tour of the 300-year-old Palladian Manor House, rich in history and grandeur. Then take your time exploring the beautifully restored walled gardens at your own pace.

It’s time to begin our journey home, but don’t worry, with an evening crossing back to Fishguard, we still have today to experience Irish hospitality.
