We begin our journey to Kent, making comfort stops along the way.
This morning we visit Sissinghurst Castle Garden, one of England’s most famous gardens, created by writer Vita Sackville-West. In the afternoon, we enjoy a charming heritage ride on the Kent & East Sussex Railway from Tenterden — a relaxing way to take in the rural scenery.
We begin the day with a return boat trip from Maidstone, offering a peaceful and scenic journey along the River Medway — a perfect way to take in the Kent countryside from the water. In the afternoon, we head to the beautiful Balfour Winery where we’ll enjoy a guided tour, light lunch and wine tasting. A real treat for the senses!
Step back in time with a visit to the Call the Midwife Tour at Chatham Historic Dockyard. A must for fans of the series, the tour takes you behind the scenes of the show’s filming locations. Afterward, there’s free time to explore the rest of the dockyard or relax in Maidstone.
After a final breakfast, we begin our journey home, with new memories of Kent’s charm, gardens and flavours.
