We begin at the Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre, where you’ll meet these gentle giants up close and discover the proud tradition of the working shire horse. This afternoon, we enjoy a relaxing River Dee cruise, gliding through the heart of historic Chester — the perfect way to soak in the scenery at a leisurely pace.

Our day starts at the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port, where a fascinating guided tour reveals the stories of Britain’s canal heritage. Later, we head to the Ness Botanic Gardens, where rare plants and sweeping views across the Dee Estuary await — a peaceful haven for garden lovers.

A real highlight today as we visit the Trentham Estate, home to award-winning gardens and sweeping parkland. You’ll enjoy a guided garden tour revealing the estate’s rich history and elegant design.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Crewe Hall and begin our journey home.
