Overnight Ferry Harwich to Hook of Holland - Stena Line Ferries

Overnight Hotel  - The Landgasthof Tarp

This traditional hotel is located in Tarp, just 12.4 miles south of Flensburg. It offers quiet rooms with all en suit facilities.. Guests are welcome to use the Landgasthof Tarp's private skittle alley.

Copenhagen Hotel - Copenhagen Island Hotel ****

This ultra-modern, stylish hotel is located on an artificial island in central Copenhagen, right next to Fisketorvet Shopping Centre. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, gym and sauna access. The Hotel’s rooms feature flat-screen TVs, air conditioning and either harbour or city views. All have a seating area, and some include a work desk.

Gothenburg Hotel - Scandic Europa ****

Scandic Europa is located in the Nordstan Shopping Centre in Gothenburg, 250 yards from Gothenburg Central Station. It offers rooms with free WiFi.

All the Scandinavian-style rooms at Scandic Hotel Europa are brightly decorated. Each room is equipped with a work desk and a flat-screen TV. Ironing facilities are also included.The bar and restaurant Hak offers live music and photo exhibitions. Guests can work out in the fitness centre or relax in the indoor pool.

Oslo Hotel - Anker Hotel ***

This hotel is a 15-minute walk from Oslo’s busy main street, Karl Johans Gate. It offers a lobby bar with a small garden, free Wi-Fi and colourful rooms with flat-screen TVs. Each spacious room at the Hotel feature bright décor and includes a writing desk, an armchair, cable TV and a private bathroom with shower.

Positioned in the picturesque city of Bremen, Star Inn Premium Bremen Columbus is a trendy hotel, only a 10-minute journey on foot from Bremen main street.
This hotel has 148 rooms, nicely furnished in shades of beech, cream and crimson. Visitors can relax while watching a flat screen television with cable channels.

Day One – We begin our journey in the morning and head to Harwich, with comfort stops on route. We will stop for our evening meal (not included) before embarking our overnight ferry for the crossing to the Hook of Holland.

Day Two – This morning we will drive to our overnight hotel in Northern Germany with comfort stops along the way. Once we arrive, our evening meal will be served at the hotel.

Day Three – This morning, we will make our way to Copenhagen, hoping to arrive early afternoon. Once here, we will meet our guide who will give us an insight into this beautiful city, so that you can get to know the place before your day at leisure tomorrow.

Day Four – Today is at your leisure to enjoy what stunning Copenhagen has to offer. You may decide to visit the world famous Kronborg Castle. This Danish castle, home to the royal family until the 1600’s, known from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The 1913 bronze sculpture of the Little Mermaid at Langelinje Pier may take your interest and is well worth a visit. Or, you may decide to visit the 17th century round tower, Rundetaarn and the impressive Rosenborg Castle, with its 400 years of splendour, royal art treasures, the Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia.

Day Five – After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Gothenburg, hoping to arrive early afternoon. Once again, we will be greeted by a local guide, who will be able to show us main points of interest in the city, before your day of exploring tomorrow.

Day Six – Today is your day to enjoy the beautiful city of Gothenburg. On the west coast of Sweden, this “green and grand” city, with its leafy parks in the centre will have you feeling totally relaxed. Explore the historic forts and castles, visit the myriads of islands in the archipelago with its granite cliffs and picturesque fishing villages, or browse and buy some seafood at the 1874 “fish church”, Feskekôrka.

Day Seven – This morning, we will make our way to the impressive city of Oslo, hoping to arrive early afternoon. Once we arrive in this remarkable city, we will enjoy half a day tour with our guide, before your day at leisure tomorrow.

Day Eight – Today is your day at leisure to marvel in the delights of Oslo. Surrounded by mountains and sea, this cultured, charming city has a contemporary, fun feel. Explore some of the many museums on offer, visit the booming art scene or walk the neighbourhoods that may be familiar via the works of Karl Ove Knausgård, Jo Nesbø and Anne Holt. In 2019, Oslo earned the honour of being named European Green Capital for 2019. This impressive city boasts many bucolic parks and the Oslo fjord’s waterways and islands are just a few minutes from the centre.

Day Nine – After breakfast, we will head to our unique experience at the Fetsund Timber Booms. This natural heritage site will give you an insight into log-driving history in authentic surroundings and a beautiful natural setting. With indoor and outdoor exhibitions, log bundling and sorting facilities and floating pathways, the story of log driving in Norway is told. After some time to explore the museum, we will head to the exciting site of the Old Town, Fredrikstad. This being one of the world’s best-preserved fortress cities, with its cobblestone streets, unbelievable views of the colourful wooden houses and empire-inspired blocks of brick buildings. Stroll the beautiful streets or browse the unique shops and cafes in a cosy 1700’s environment.

Tonight, we will board our overnight ferry from Oslo to Frederikshavn and begin the journey home.

Day Ten – This morning, we disembark the ferry at Frederikshavn and make our way South West to our overnight hotel, with comfort stops on route.

Day Eleven – After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our journey to the Hook of Holland for our overnight crossing back to Harwich.

Day Twelve – This morning we disembark the ferry at Harwich and head for the last part of the journey home. With comfort stops on route, we would hope to arrive back early evening.
