HOLLIN HOUSE HOTEL, MACCLESFIELD

This morning, we travel to Salford Quays, a hot spot of Manchester and home to the BBC & Granada Studios and the Imperial War Museum. From here, we will depart on a 1-hour
sightseeing river cruise where we will learn about the history of the Manchester Ship Canal. This afternoon, we make our way to “one of Britain’s greatest industrial heritage sites”, Quarry Bank Mill.
This morning we head to the shopper’s paradise that is Wilmslow. Home to many footballers, and other well-heeled residents, this town has the busiest dealership of Aston Martins in the country. While here, see how many you can spot. This afternoon, we visit the firm location for “Pemberley” in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth. With stunning scenery and magnificent grounds, you will surely have plenty to do when we visit Lyme Park House & Gardens.
Today we visit Chatsworth House & Gardens, where you will have free time to explore. Revell in the quality art on display, wander around the 30 rooms and the vast stunning gardens. On
the way back to the hotel, we call in at the charming village of Bakewell, home of the Bakewell tart.
