Itinerary

Day One

We leave Crymych early in the morning and head to Dover for an afternoon channel crossing to Calais. We will then continue to our overnight hotel.

Day Two

After breakfast at the hotel, we make our way to Lake Constance, giving you a little taste of the Black Forest as we go.

Day Three

After breakfast, we board the ferry and cruise across the glittering lake to Switzerland. After a short stop for coffee, we travel up the western banks where you will be able to enjoy stunning views of the lake as we drive. We will then cross the border back into Germany where we will stop for lunch in Konstanz. You may want to wander down the cobbled streets of the old town, or enjoy a beautiful lunch overlooking the magnificent marina. After lunch, we travel the short journey to Mainau Island, otherwise known as the Island of fragrant, colourful flowers.

Day Four

Today is your day at leisure by the beautiful lake Constance. Choose to cruise on the boat down into Austria, stopping at the Old Town on Lindau Island and the Austrian city of Bregenz on the eastern end of the lake. Or you may decide to have a relaxing day wandering around our host town of Friedrichshafen. With plenty to choose from, you’ll be able to do as little or as much as you like.

Day Five

After breakfast at the Best Western Goldenes, we will make our way into the breath-taking Black Forest. But before we do, we have one more exciting stop – the Rhein Falls. We will spend a short time at one of the largest waterfalls in Europe. You will be in awe of the way in which the water cascades down in a spectacular waterfall, which has enthralled visitors for centuries. It is then onto the Black Forest and our first stop is Lake Titisee. Surrounded by the classic forests backdrop and low mountains, the incredible views from Titisee make it the ideal lunch stop for us. It is then on to Trieberg where we will have our first sights of the famous cuckoo clocks. After this busy day of sight-seeing, we will be ready for our relaxing evening meal at the hotel.

Day Six

The classy, picturesque spa town of Baden-Baden is our first destination today. Baden-Baden's curative waters and air of old-world luxury have attracted royals, the rich and celebrities over the years, and with our visit, you will soon see why. Established over 2000 years ago as a place for people to relax and reconnect with themselves, this jewel of the Black Forest has evolved into an enchanting destination, offering a spectacularly diverse range of opportunities for both relaxation and excitement. We will spend a few hours here before heading to Gengenbach, the home of the largest advent calendar in the world, as well as bustling cafes, ice cream shops and inviting shops to browse.

Day Seven

Sadly, it’s time to leave the Black Forest. After breakfast, we will head north to our overnight hotel, with comfort stops on route.

Day Eight

After breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way north to Calais for our morning crossing back to Dover. We will then make our way home, with comfort stops on route, hoping to arrive home in the evening.
