Lets Brighton up the end of summer with this trip to the south coast. This relaxing holiday has everything from charming gardens to tranquil rail and boat journeys.
The Royal Albion Hotel, Brighton offers 219 en-suite bedrooms with all the usual facilities. As a family run hotel, they pride themselves on offering a warm welcome in a wonderful location.
Day One - We depart Crymych and make our way toward the seaside destination of Brighton with comfort stops on route.
Day Two - We spend this morning at the colourful Leonardslee Gardens, described as “the finest woodland gardens in England”. First planted in 1801, the Grade I Listed gardens provide outstanding scenery throughout the year. Famed for outstanding displays of Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Magnolias and Bluebells, the fountain of colour is worth a visit. As well as this, visit the renowned rock garden, a dolls house museum and a rare colony of wallabies! Waw!
This afternoon we make our way to Worthing. The Worthing of today is a happy collision of classic and contemporary; where else can you hop off the pier and into one of the oldest working cinemas in the UK?
Day Three – Today is your free day to relax and enjoy Brighton.
Day Four - This morning we embark on a steam train journey from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead on the Bluebell Railway; the UK’s first preserved standard gauge passenger railway. We will then spend the afternoon on a relaxing 90-minute circular cruise on the Wey and Arun Canal. Embarking at Loxwood, we cruise along the idyllic Loxwood Link section of the canal on the Surrey/West Sussex border.
Day Five – Sadly, it is time to depart and start our way home.
