The Golden Lion Hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty, for more than 200 years. The Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote a poem on a hotel window frame, a plaque commemorating this is situated on the hotel’s front. Located in Stirling city centre.
The family-owned Golden Lion offers modern rooms, each with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee and ironing facilities. Each bathroom has a hairdryer, bath and shower.
There are shops, bars and cafes on the hotel doorstep, and the magnificent Stirling Castle is just 0.6 miles away.
We depart Pembrokeshire and make away north towards our first stop near Welshpool. After a breakfast stop here we join the Motorway and take a short lunch stop at the Iconic Gretna Green. Its then on towards our home city of Stirling.
After a relaxed breakfast we take you on a Mystery trip of the local area before returning to the Golden Lion Hotel in the Centre of Stirling for a little drink or two maybe.
