Join our popular trip this year to St Valentin Austria to visit one of the most popular tractor manufacturers in the world. Case IH has a network of more than 4,900 dealers and distributors that operates in over 160 countries. Discover the power of Case IH tractors. We will take a look behind the scenes and see how the Case IH tractors are brought to life and we will get an insight into the manufacturing plant in St. Valentin in Austria so that you can experience the entire process at first hand. Get ready to take to the Skywalk as we look down at the Case tractor in production.
This traditional 4-star hotel, which is almost 500 years old, is directly located at the confluence of the rivers Steyr and Enns in the historic old town of Steyr. The hotel is situated only 20 minutes from St Valentin and the Case factory.
We depart Crymych early morning and make our way to Dover for our channel crossing to Calais. We then continue to our overnight hotel.
After breakfast we make our way towards St Valentin, stopping for comfort and sightseeing stops on the route. After our arrival, a three-course Austrian evening meal awaits us.
After breakfast, we make our way to the Case Factory. We will be given a full tour by their experienced tour guides. After the tour, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we travel through the mountains to Bauern Technik Museum. There are some 60 pieces on display; from bikes to the production of Steyr 26, HP tractors and trucks, the list goes on. From the first small crude oil tractor "12 Lanz" to the large Russian K-700 threshers, combines and much more! No other museum has such a diverse range of exhibits on offer. After a visit here we make our way back to the hotel for our evening meal.
After breakfast, it’s time to leave Austria and start our way toward our return overnight hotel. We will visit a second factory on the return journey. (Due to European factories only working 2 months ahead with guided tours, the location will be confirmed in November 2018)
After breakfast, we make our way to Calais for our channel crossing back to the UK. We hope to arrive home late evening.
