Itinerary

DAY ONE

This morning we head East towards our hotel in Huntington, with comfort stops en route.

DAY TWO

This morning we visit the breath-taking Holme fen. Explore the finest silver birch woodland in England and visit famous Holme Post where you will be 2.75 metres below sea level – the lowest land point in Great Britain. This afternoon we head to the traditional English market town of Oakham. You will have some free time here before regrouping for a relaxing cream tea
cruise. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tranquillity, marvel in the beautiful scenery, and listen to light commentary highlighting points of interest.

DAY THREE

Today we embark on a 2-hour walking tour of the prestigious Cambridge University. Experience one of the world’s most famous universities including architectural highlights and the halls where alumni, like Sir Isaac Newton and CS Lewis, would have walked. You will then have free time to enjoy the history, culture and beauty of Cambridge city.

DAY FOUR

Our destination today is the charming city of Ely, where you will have time at leisure during which you may choose to visit the magnificent 12th century cathedral. We will then make our way to Oliver Cromwell’s House, where a guided tour is included for us. The guide, who will be in full costume, will take us on a fascinating tour of the
half-timbered house, parts of which date back to the 13th century, providing a fascinating snapshot of 17th century family life.

DAY FIVE

After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to head home, with comfort stops en route
